As a result of airstrikes by the Russian army on the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region, a couple died. The woman worked in the police. The attack occurred on December 20, confirms the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Syniehubov.
Syniehubov reported that Russian occupiers used nine aviation munitions to strike the city of Izyum at approximately 15:50. Initially, it was known about one fatality, but later the death toll rose to two people. A 47-year-old man and his 42-year-old wife, who worked in the police, perished.
Among the consequences of the strike are destroyed and damaged residential buildings. A private house was destroyed, and an apartment building, the territory of some industrial enterprises, a café building, the city Palace of Culture, and several cars were damaged. Two women were also affected, experiencing an acute stress reaction.
In recent days, the Kharkiv region has been regularly shelled as part of a broader wave of attacks in the region. On the night of December 19, the Russians attacked a gas production facility of the company Smart Energy.
