About 50 residents of the village of Hrabovske in Sumy region were taken to Russia.

On Saturday, December 20, about 50 civilians were taken from the border village of Hrabovske in the Sumy region to the Russian Federation. This concerns residents who previously refused evacuation, as reported by the village head Larysa Kremezna.

There were no children among those taken, specified the official. According to preliminary data, the occupants were able to enter the settlement on the night of Saturday. The removal of civilians may be connected with so-called filtration measures. There is currently no official response from the Sumy Regional Military Administration.

Volunteers and authorities evacuated a quarter of the residents from the village of Riasne, who stayed there until the evening of December 20. However, many of them continue to stay in the dangerous area.

Amidst these events, the activation of Russian units near the village of Hrabovske has been confirmed; however, these areas are not marked as occupied on the DeepState map. The situation is currently being clarified. It is also worth noting that earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled a Russian offensive in the Sumy region.

Evacuation measures are ongoing, and all who applied are receiving the necessary assistance at transit centers. Head of the Regional Military Administration Oleh Grygorov reported that some residents of the Krasnopil community eventually agreed to evacuate and were moved to a safe place.

Event Date Number of people taken
Removal of residents from Hrabovske December 20 about 50
