Trump and Putin Discuss Ukraine: Tensions Rise

At a meeting in the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to agree to Russia’s terms to end the war. Russian President Vladimir Putin threatened to destroy Ukraine if Zelensky did not comply with Moscow’s demands.

Meanwhile, during a recent phone conversation with Putin, the American president agreed to further negotiations, which will take place in Budapest within two weeks. According to The Washington Post, during this conversation, the Russian leader issued an ultimatum, stating that the war would end only when Ukraine relinquishes control over the Donetsk region.
