Ukrzaliznytsia launches ticket sales for additional carriages to Moldova
Ukrzaliznytsia announced that as of December 20, tickets for additional carriages to the capital of Moldova, Chisinau, will be available for passengers. The carriages will operate from Odesa and Kyiv.
This step is due to the complicated crossing of the Moldovan border by other means of transport after recent shelling in the Odesa region, which disrupted road connections. Additionally, as a result of the attack on December 18 on the road bridge near the village of Mayaky, a woman died, and her three children ended up in the hospital.
Ukrzaliznytsia emphasizes its readiness to increase the number of carriages if necessary to ensure seamless border crossing between Ukraine and Moldova.
The authorities have already provided information on the available border checkpoints in the Vinnytsia and Chernivtsi regions for drivers. As experts note, these measures will help establish the transportation flow between the countries, which is crucial amid the tense situation.
Recent attacks have caused significant damage to energy infrastructure facilities in various regions of Ukraine, including the Mykolaiv, Kherson, Donetsk, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
