Fire in the “Alabuga” industrial zone engulfed the battery warehouse
On Friday, November 28, a large fire occurred in the “Alabuga” economic zone in Tatarstan, engulfing a battery warehouse over an area of more than 5000 square meters. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties, and 300 people were evacuated.
The warehouse that caught fire is located in the “Alabuga” economic zone, where Shahed-type strike drones are assembled. Despite the scale of the fire, the zone’s press service assures that management and rescuers are actively working to extinguish the fire, including considering the possibility of involving a helicopter.
Previously, in December 2024, a warehouse with parts for kamikaze drones worth approximately 16 million dollars was destroyed in “Alabuga”. This incident is part of a broader picture of the tense situation in the region, where military equipment production continues.
Experts note that such incidents may indicate both increased control and security of facilities and potential risks of unauthorized interventions. At the same time, such events can significantly impact the functioning of the territory where critically important enterprises are located.
