Night shelling in Kyiv region: dead, injured, and power supply disruptions
During the night of Saturday, November 29, a Russian attack left the western part of Kyiv without electricity, Mayor Vitaliy Klychko reported. The attack resulted in two deaths and dozens of injuries.
The massive attack on Kyiv and the region took place after midnight. The Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) recorded hits in the Darnytskyi and Shevchenkivskyi districts, damaging several residential buildings. Specifically, at one location in the Sviatoshynskyi district, a man’s body was pulled from the rubble, and the number of injured reached 29, with 19 hospitalized.
According to the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Mykola Kalashnyk, targeted attacks with drones and missiles also affected Brovary, where two women were injured. Damage was inflicted on multi-story and private houses, and a fire broke out in the garage cooperative area, with 52 people evacuated.
Vitaliy Klychko clarified that the western part of the capital was left without power, while the critical infrastructure in Fastiv switched to backup power. Meanwhile, energy workers are working on restoring the electricity supply.
This is the second massive shelling of Kyiv this week. The previous one occurred on November 25, when the capital was attacked by drones and various missiles, resulting in seven deaths and over 20 injuries.
