Massive Attack on Ukraine: Three People Killed, Dozens Injured
During the night of November 29, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, firing 36 missiles and nearly 600 drones. The attack resulted in the deaths of three individuals and left dozens injured.
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the main targets of the attack were energy infrastructure and civilian objects. Many residential buildings caught fire. Emergency services are actively working at the sites, the president noted. He emphasized the urgent need to strengthen air defense and called on Europe to make decisions regarding Moscow’s frozen assets if Russia continues its drone and missile strikes.
As of 10:30, the Air Forces Command of Ukraine reported the downing or suppression of 577 air targets, including 558 enemy drones, one KH-47M2 “Kinzhal” aeroballistic missile, and several cruise and ballistic missiles.
Kyiv and the region were particularly affected. Over half a million consumers in the capital were left without electricity, and in the region, another 100,000 were affected. The attacks also sparked additional debates about increasing international pressure on Russia to end the war.
