Ukrainian military intelligence reported the exposure and destruction of a network of special communication terminals of Russian occupiers, which operated not only on the territory of Ukraine but also beyond its borders.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate (MID), Ukrainian military were able to identify the secure communication terminals of the Russian armed forces both along the front line with Ukraine and in Africa. After prolonged intelligence gathering on Russia’s plans obtained from these devices, the military decided to disclose their locations and destroy them.
“As long as Russia’s aggression against Ukraine continues, the enemy will not find a safe place in any corner of the world,” MID emphasizes.
The intelligence officers do not disclose details of the operation, but according to maps published by the Ukrainian intelligence, one of the terminals was detected in the South Caucasus. In July, MID stated that Russian occupiers are actively enhancing their influence in African countries, where, according to the data at the time, about 8,000 Russian militants were present in nine countries.
Experts note that the exposure of such a network of terminals provides Ukraine with a significant informational advantage, helping to identify potential threats and plan effective countermeasures.
