Ukraine integrates veteran policy into all spheres of life after the war
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced comprehensive changes in Ukraine’s veteran policy, which will be integrated into all spheres of life after the end of the war with Russia.
After a meeting with representatives of the Coalition of Veteran Public Organizations, Yulia Svyrydenko stated that there might be about 5-6 million veterans and their family members in Ukraine. She emphasized the importance of the organic integration of veteran policy. Within this course, the Ministry of Veterans will hold discussions with the fields of medicine and employment in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Economy.
In addition, the government will focus on easing access to driving license exams for veterans with disabilities through training in barrier-free driving schools, involving the Ministry of Internal Affairs in this process. It was previously reported that the state will compensate veterans with disabilities for expenses related to modifying vehicles for their needs.
According to experts, the successful implementation of these initiatives could become an important stage in post-conflict recovery, improve the social adaptation of veterans, and promote their return to normal life.
