A source in “Servant of the People”: Zelensky does not consider Yermak’s resignation a panacea, and Arakhamia has “lost ground.”

Zelensky is not ready to dismiss Yermak without grounds from law enforcement

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated that dismissing the head of his Office Andriy Yermak would not solve all problems, and he would consider such a step only in the event of suspicions from law enforcement agencies.

During a meeting with the “Servant of the People” faction on November 20, the president clearly stated that Yermak would remain in his position if there was no evidence of his misconduct. The head of the faction Davyd Arakhamia stayed aside from active discussions regarding Yermak’s dismissal, although he previously stated he was ready to leave the faction along with some deputies if the head of the OP was not dismissed.

A source in the leadership of the mono-majority reported that many members of parliament dislike Yermak due to his tendency for intrigue. According to them, he made many promises, but there were no results. It is also noted that Yermak has effectively isolated Zelensky from many important events and people. On the other hand, Zelensky himself assured that he was unaware of any corruption schemes associated with his former partner Timur Mindich.

Experts note that although Yermak’s dismissal could temporarily unite the “Servant of the People” team and provide new momentum to politics, it does not guarantee a resolution to the political crisis. Yermak maintains significant influence, and his removal will not necessarily end the intrigue within the government.

The situation will further develop depending on the position of law enforcement agencies and internal political arrangements. It should be noted that on November 24, the SBU denied information about preparing suspicions against SAP head Oleksandr Klymenko and Davyd Arakhamia.

Event Zelensky’s Reaction Arakhamia’s Reaction
Meeting with the faction Support for Yermak, lack of evidence of corruption Silence, previously promised to leave the faction
Information on corruption schemes Denial of awareness of such schemes Concealment of information about Yermak’s dismissal
