Zelensky proposed security cooperation to Poland based on Ukrainian experience
President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that Ukraine is ready to share its advanced defense experience with Poland, especially in matters related to drone warfare.
During a joint press conference with Polish President Karol Nawrocki, Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine possesses the most modern defense technologies and significant production capacities in the armaments sector. He highlighted that Kyiv is prepared to offer Poland consultations on protection against drones that may pose a threat from Russia. Zelensky noted that Ukraine aims to stand in solidarity with Poland in enhancing the security of both countries, the region, and Europe as a whole.
Besides protection against drones, Kyiv is ready to propose cooperation in maritime security matters. Zelensky invited President Nawrocki to visit Ukraine to demonstrate its capabilities in this field. The Ukrainian President also stressed the importance of security dialogue considering threats from Belarus.
Earlier, on December 10, the Polish Armed Forces announced ongoing negotiations with Ukraine regarding the transfer of MiG-29 fighters to Kyiv in exchange for Ukrainian technologies. The first meeting between Zelensky and Nawrocki took place on December 19 in Warsaw.
