Ukrainian military successfully leveled the front line in the Lyman direction and destroyed an entire regiment of the Russian army. These results were achieved thanks to the coordinated actions of the Third Army Corps and the Main Intelligence Directorate.
According to the report, the successful actions of the Ukrainian military not only improved the tactical position but also significantly complicated the enemy’s maneuver capabilities, creating prerequisites for further strategic decisions. During the operation, the Russian army regiment was eliminated, and a significant number of occupiers were captured.
The commander of the Third Army Corps, Andriy Biletsky, noted that the achieved “operational-tactical result” is the merit of all soldiers and commanders who managed to find solutions for any task. The commander of the GUR special unit “Artan,” Viktor Torkotyuk, emphasized the importance of these actions for future strategic advancement in the region.
According to official reports as of December 15, the operation to regain control over Kupiansk continues, with about 100 occupiers remaining blocked in the city. As of December 17, Russia has deployed approximately 710,000 occupying troops in the conflict against Ukraine.
