In Reserve+, a deferment has been introduced for an additional category.

Parents of Children with Disabilities Can Obtain Deferment from Mobilization through “Reserve+”

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has announced that the “Reserve+” program now allows parents of children with disabilities to obtain a deferment from mobilization. This new feature operates quickly and transparently, thanks to automatic verification of data in state registers.

The deferment request procedure can be used by parents of children with disabilities under the age of 18 and parents of adult children with a disability of group I or II. To do this, one must update the “Reserve+” application, log in, and submit a request. The main requirement is having documented information about the child’s disability in the information systems of the Ministry of Social Policy.

However, the Ministry of Defense warns that situations may arise where the system denies the request if information in the state registers is incomplete or missing. In case of refusal, the application will provide instructions on the necessary actions, including updating data through the “Electronic Cabinet for Persons with Disabilities” or at the Centers for Administrative Services.

The “Reserve+” application already allows deferment for other categories of citizens, including people with disabilities, students, parents of three or more children, and spouses of defenders with children. In August, the functionality was extended to include deferment opportunities for married couples where one partner has a disability of group I or II.

This initiative aims to improve the efficiency of processing deferment requests and reduce bureaucratic barriers for citizens.

Category Conditions for Obtaining Deferment
Parents of children with disabilities Children with disabilities under 18 years old or adult children with disabilities of group I or II
People with disabilities Members of society with documented disabilities
Students and postgraduate students Current studies in higher education institutions or postgraduate studies
Parents of multiple children Raising three or more children
Spouses of defenders One spouse is serving the country, the other is raising a child
