The court arrested the accounts of UkrArmTech due to suspicions of substandard equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv arrested the bank accounts of the company UkrArmTech, suspected of supplying substandard equipment and possibly overpricing components for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the framework of the criminal proceedings initiated against the company UkrArmTech, information has emerged about assets worth 2.1 billion UAH being seized. The suspicions regarding the company concern the supply of ineffective electronic warfare (EW) systems for military equipment and the possible siphoning of funds abroad. According to documents of the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, the company supplied armored vehicles with MOROK-5 EW systems, which proved ineffective against FPV drones during tests.
Furthermore, there is suspicion of overpricing import chassis for armored vehicles. According to media reports, automotive platforms from the United Arab Emirates, the USA, and China were purchased through Czech intermediary companies, leading to price increases of 15-230%. The investigation is also considering the possible siphoning of more than $14 million through accounts in the Czech Republic, part of which was allegedly used for personal purchases, including car parts for Ferrari.
At the request of Ukrainian defense structures, the enterprise manufactured armored vehicles with EW systems for the Defense Procurement Agency, the State Border Service, the National Guard, and the National Police. The criminal proceedings were initiated under articles of the Criminal Code that provide for liability for obstructing the legitimate activities of military units and misappropriating property on a large scale.
