SBU struck Russian fighters in occupied Crimea – photo

The special unit “Alpha” of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) struck a Su-27 at the Belbek airfield in Crimea.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) used long-range drones to strike Russian Su-27 aircraft at the military airfield in temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to the SSU’s press service, as a result of the operation, two heavy Su-27 fighters were destroyed, one of which was on the taxiway with a full combat load. The estimated cost of the aircraft is about 70 million US dollars. In addition, damage was inflicted on the control tower, complicating the organization and control of flights at the airfield.

This strike is part of a broader SSU campaign to destroy military equipment in temporarily occupied territories. On December 18, the security service reported the destruction of equipment worth hundreds of millions of dollars, including a MiG-31 aircraft, “Nebo-SVU” complexes, a 92N6 radar station, and a “Pantsir-S2” air defense system. Such actions significantly reduce the enemy’s military potential in the region.

During the night of August 19, special operations forces also successfully destroyed a Russian patrol military ship and drilling platform in the Caspian Sea.
