Yermak spoke about Zelensky after his resignation

Former Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak Denies Anger at Zelensky After Resignation

Former head of Ukraine’s President’s Office Andriy Yermak, who resigned following inspections by anti-corruption agencies, stated that he holds no grudges against President Volodymyr Zelensky. Yermak made this known in a comment to the Financial Times.

Andriy Yermak emphasized that his relationship with the president remains friendly, noting: “He was my friend before this job and will remain so in my memory afterward.” Meanwhile, the Financial Times notes that even after his resignation, Yermak’s influence continues to be felt in political circles. Many current and former Ukrainian officials avoid publicly discussing the former head of the President’s Office, fearing that he remains close to Zelensky.

For many people in Ukraine, the situation remains ambiguous. One source to the publication stated: “I don’t want to dance on his grave. Especially not before I’m sure it’s his.”

On the eve of resignation on November 28, Yermak claimed in the New York Post tabloid that he intended to go to the front lines. However, he did not specify when and how he plans to do so or if he will join the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On the morning of November 28, NABU and SAP conducted searches at Yermak’s government district and his home. According to Financial Times sources, these inspections are related to a corruption case in the energy sector. At that time, Yermak declared full cooperation with the investigation. Later that day, he submitted his resignation, which President Volodymyr Zelensky accepted. The president also announced a reboot of his Office. So far, Yermak has not received any suspicions from law enforcement.
