The bad weather complicated the defense of Pokrovsk, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to resist
The deterioration of the weather conditions complicated the defensive operation of the Ukrainian defenders in Pokrovsk, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to successfully oppose Russian troops. This was reported by the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Air Assault Forces.
In conditions of dense fog, which hindered aerial reconnaissance, it became more difficult to detect and neutralize the invaders. Despite this, Ukrainian units continue to conduct aerial reconnaissance, adjust and inflict fire damage on enemy positions. During the period from November 27 to 28, the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated about 29 invaders in the area, with another nine wounded.
The invaders are trying to use the reduced visibility to strengthen their positions and replenish their personnel in the city. However, Ukrainian troops are holding the frontline and preventing the enemy from advancing forward.
Earlier, the Chief of the Ukrainian General Staff stated that Russia would not be able to capture Pokrovsk by the end of 2025. Meanwhile, raids continue south of the railway with the aim of destroying enemy forces, and Commander Surky noted that during the week, measures were taken to search for and eliminate invaders over an area of about 11.5 square kilometers.
