The Ukrainian delegation has set off for the United States to discuss the plan for settling the war. The meeting is scheduled for Sunday, November 30, with the participation of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov.
President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that the Ukrainian team, led by Rustem Umerov, is already on its way to the US. The purpose of the visit is to continue the dialogue on the peaceful settlement of the conflict. On the eve, the Ukrainian delegation held meetings in Geneva, during which key steps to end the war were discussed. Zelensky emphasized the close cooperation with American partners and expressed hope for positive outcomes from the meetings.
Rustem Umerov noted that before the departure, he reported to the President on the current issues of negotiation preparation. The delegation aims to continue harmonizing all the developments obtained in Geneva in future American consultations. According to Umerov, Ukraine seeks to achieve a just and lasting peace through systematic diplomatic work.
On Monday, Bloomberg reported that Ukrainian officials plan to meet in Florida with American representatives – Witkoff and Kushner. It should be noted that on November 29, President Zelensky updated the delegation’s composition for negotiations, changing its head. Previously, this position was held by Andriy Yermak, who was dismissed on November 28.
