Bloomberg: Umerov and Kyslytsya traveled to the USA to discuss the “peace plan”

Ukrainian delegation heads to the US to discuss Trump’s peace plan

The Ukrainian delegation plans to visit Florida for further negotiations with US representatives regarding the peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump. According to Bloomberg, the delegation includes Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Serhiy Kyslytsia.

The Ukrainian delegation is expected to meet with US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner. Previously, Witkoff was to lead the United States delegation in negotiations in Russia, which are scheduled for next week. Last week, Washington presented Kyiv with an ultimatum on a peace agreement aimed at reaching an agreement by Thanksgiving. However, considering the benefits provided to Russia in this document, agreeing to these terms is problematic for Ukraine.

Although Washington has reported some progress in negotiations, all parties face the same issues as before: what may be acceptable for Ukraine may become an insurmountable problem for Russia, and vice versa. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized preparations for negotiations with the American side to achieve peace.

According to the Russian leader, Moscow is awaiting American delegates soon, where the Russian side will be represented by Medinsky and members of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
