Foreign partners will not cover the full shortfall in Ukraine’s 2026 defence budget. Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi said this during a meeting with journalists.
The issue concerns a funding gap for defence needs in 2026. According to the head of government, international assistance will be one source of funding to cover the shortfall, but it will not be sufficient to meet it in full.
The prime minister did not specify the amount of the deficit, the volume of potential assistance from partners, or the mechanisms for financing the remaining needs.
