Ukrainian unmanned platforms successfully conduct assault operations
Ukrainian units have implemented a new tactic of engaging ground robotic complexes to conduct assault operations against the enemy. One of the successful missions was described by Serhii Churykov, the commander of the logistics and evacuation unmanned ground complexes platoon of the 100th Brigade.
Serhii Churykov reported one of the first such operations in an interview with LIGA.net, emphasizing the special importance of joint work with the 28th Brigade: “We received intelligence, and specialists identified a Russian KAB. Thanks to coordinated collaboration, we were able to use the captured ammunition against the enemy itself.” The uniqueness of this operation was that the explosive was delivered to the Russian soldiers’ shelter using a ground robotic complex (GRC), to which the found KAB was attached.
The planning of the operation was meticulous: the route was laid out so that the drone could reach the morning attacks undetected. “Military luck and the skill of our pilot played a key role because he masterfully maneuvered near the shelter, ensuring the success of the mission,” noted Churykov.
This mission had not only a tactical but also a psychological effect, demonstrating the ability of Ukrainian troops to adapt to wartime conditions and use captured resources. Previously, assault units had already used similar complexes, focusing strikes on enemy equipment, including Russian MT-LB.
Starting from December 1, the Defense Forces of Ukraine introduced a bonus program “Army of Drones. Bonus,” which rewards the evacuation of the wounded using ground drones, encouraging the development and implementation of new technologies in military operations.
